Behavior Support Professional Learning Community
Strong Foundations: Setting Your Classroom Up for Success
Start the school year with practical strategies that help create positive, supportive learning environments from day one. The Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing invites educators and school professionals to the first session of our 2026–2027 Behavior Support Professional Learning Community (PLC) series. This interactive virtual session focuses on proactive classroom practices that can reduce challenging behavior, establish clear expectations, and build confidence before students even arrive.
During this session, participants will explore:
- Creating a structured and predictable classroom environment
- Establishing effective routines and procedures
- Teaching and reinforcing behavioral expectations
- Organizing the physical classroom to support student success
Attendees will also receive free editable and printable classroom resources, including daily schedule templates, token boards, rirst/then visuals, and other ready-to-use behavior support tools.
Each one-hour PLC includes:
- A 15-minute micro-learning presentation
- A case review connected to the monthly topic
- Collaboration and resource sharing with fellow educators and behavior support professionals
This series is ideal for behavior specialists, special educators, general educators, instructional coaches, school psychologists, counselors, administrators, and other professionals who support student behavior.
